DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer your role is to implement processes and strategies that will facilitate

huge growth planned for the company. You will also act as a security guard to Mestudent product.

FULL-TIME

CRACOW, POLAND / KATOWICE, POLAND

What you’ll do:

  • carry personal responsibility for high quality implementation and changes to a live IT infrastructure
  • manage key operational systems on which depend thousands of customers from all over the world
  • publish platform updates as required meeting product release schedules, monitoring load on infrastructure and support, taking corrective action where possible and escalate the issues
  • occasionally carry out changes outside of normal working hours with regard to Australian timezones
  • design, implement, and automate development and deployment workflows in the cloud
  • configuration management for web, mobile development and systems integration projects
  • act independently to expose and resolve problems.

What we're expecting:

  • clear understanding of devops and lean processes
  • 2+ years’ of proven IT experience administering systems, configuring tools, administering networks, or databases experience in supervising processes on UNIX platforms
  • experience in supporting JVM projects on Linux
  • experience in cloud solutions (ex. AWS - EC2, S3) experience with CI tools like Jenkins
  • experience with databases (ex. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • experience using monitoring/logging tools from Elastic stack (Kibana, Logstash, Elasticsearch)
  • experience in bash scripting
  • experience in an agile operations framework, balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs.

You'll get bonus points if:

  • you have Chef artifact test development and automated testing best practices
  • you have scripting for intrusion testing
  • you have experience participating on self–organizing agile teams
  • you have experience with mobile test and deployment automation
  • you’re fluent in the Queen’s speech.
